ab - to go to this bar on campus that notoriously serves underage people. Still have never been. Go cow tipping (jk). Go ice skating in Omaha, senior week, graduation, get into grad school, go to a midnight movie at this one movie theatre… idk! I feel like I’ve done a lot in Omaha. I need to think about this some more!

kb- Since I have been so awesome about posting in this tumblr (yet another need for a sarcasm font) I want to suggest something to add to it! I think we should do a book club type thing and read these books (or others, I just want to be in a book club). It can be as simple as doing a short video or post about a book as we finish them. We could set out a schedule of when to read what. One book each month? We could also take this idea and do different books. We could rotate and have each of us pick a book for each month starting in January. Meaning would we each be in charge of two books during the year and then two months we can pick from this list. These are all thoughts that are coming to me as I compose this post. If you hate it let me know. But you are the people who would understand that I am really a middle-age housewife and I feel that I need to be involved in a book club. Also I think we all like to read? I could be wrong here. (Also last thought there is a book list that exists on the internet that is Rory Gilmore’s book list we could pull from there… there are like 100 so we could make it a bucket list thing to finish them all.) (Really last thought. I’m not actually in love with this list so I would would prefer either of the other suggestions on how to decide on books. Again I think we are all cool enough for a book club. We could also skip Tumblr all together and just do Google Hangouts and discuss the books. Call them happy hours! It would give us all an excuse to talk once a month!)

ea - I am half way reading a book called “Who’s in Charge?” about if we have free will.
ab- I’m reading a book called “Mennonite in a Little Black Dress” (I think that’s the title…). It’s about a woman whose husband cheats on her with a guy so she moves back to her Mennonite family to regroup. It is ok… the description sounds more interesting than it actually is.Day 298: Any movies you want to see?
ea - All cheesy romantic Christmas movies! Gahh I am wanting to watch some romcoms!

Day 295: Do you have any family/friend Christmas traditions?
ea - My family usually stays at a hotel and recently we have been going to movies! It’s fun to be in the city during Christmas!
ab- we go to our family friend’s house every Christmas eve and then we go to St. Louis on Christmas day!

ea - Mike Mulligan and the Steam Shovel, I was just thinking about it the other day!

ea- THE MALL GAME! You know what I am talking about!? I always wanted that game where the board is a mall ahahahaha silly yes
ab - Mall Madness?? Totally had that! And it was awesome. I always wanted Gack (I don’t remember how to spell it…). But it looked awesome.
cc - a REAL Tamagachi. I only ever had off-brand ones and they just weren’t the same.
Day 291: What part of school do you love? What part do you hate?
cc - I love everything except the parts I hate. Which are finals. Final projects in particular. And the fact that it was 60 yesterday and 25 today and we still haven’t gotten any snow.
ea - I love most of it! I love learning something new and wanting to tell everyone about it! I do not like feeling lonely at school…but I guess sometimes you just go through those times in your life.
ab - I love a lot of stuff and hate a lot of stuff. Me sleepy brain can’t type now

mlp - I ended up being a bank robber/eskimo.
ea - cowgirl then golfer, I know it was a creative year people! hahaha
ab- a bank robber and eskimo at once? haha. I was a school girl person ish (yes my feminist side cringed). And then on Halloween I was a fairy.
cc - I was a witch and then I was a spider. I finally decided to acknowledge Halloween senior year. One and done.

day 286: last time you cried, why was it?
ab - I was sad. haha Sorry I’m not trying to be sassy I just don’t wanna share how I cry at really stupid things :P
mlp - Recently, I have lost the ability to cry. The last time I tried to cry my roommate said “Oh so what, now you’re going to cry?” and I stopped crying. Oh, but I did sob when Obama gave his acceptance speech.
ea - Sunday about really stupid stuff as well….
cc - I am tardy to the party on these blog posts but the last time I cried was last night/this morning (I never know what to call 2 a.m.) from laughing because my friend and I are working on a project together and it was late and we were tired but not really because we drank a lot of coffee. Happy finals!

day 285: what have you done that you feel has bettered you, in the past year
cc - Those have bettered you? I’m confused… I’ve done a lot in the last year to better myself, on purpose, because I’ve realized that life doesn’t just get better, you have to actively pursue something better. I ran for exec in my sorority, I try to take more time to get ready in the morning because it makes me feel more awake and you also never know when you’ll need to make a first impression. I traveled somewhere that I was scared to go, at first, but loved after I was there. I also started sticking up for myself a lot more and taking time for what I really need, like reading and naps and time with friends.
ab - Somehow I totally misread the question… like I don’t even know what I thought it was asking haha. I will answer again later when I learn to read.
mlp - This is pathetic… I can only think of negative things. My mom took me to get tested for allergies, and I have an incredibly comprehensive list of foods that I am sensitive to and should avoid, which is something I still need to work on, but I hope will end up helping my mental health in the end. RUN ON SENTENCE FTW
day 284: what are you going to miss about college?
ea - How it is the fake real world! hahaha I know what I mean… ya umm also free food, it is everywhere on our campus and it is great! ummmm ill think more on this…. I won’t miss studying since I will still be doing that!
ab- I will miss being around so many people that are the same age. I will miss free food, tshirts, etc. for attending meetings or talks. I will miss the dining hall actually (guaranteed meal three times a day!). This will probably be easier to answer after next year! haha
cc - pretty much everything, except maybe a few classes. Collegiate stuff is pretty much universal and it’s such a cool experience to have (I was noticing how cool college is when I was at mizzou this week and it made me think about how much I loved Marquette…idk…that doesn’t make sense in this context…).
mlp - Everything you guys said, but there are definitely some aspects I won’t miss as well. Mostly, I’ll miss the pretty campus and the excellent free resources… and my friends, mostly my friends. I’m too worried about next year to fully answer this question, I’m sorry!
day 283: how do you feel about people getting engaged?
ea - On Friday I was informed of 3 engagements! That’s a lot. Honestly it makes me nervous for the future but also excited! Real world here we come. This was a super lame question and answer…just on my mind….like all the other questions
ab- it’s exciting but it is also scary! It is a big sign that we are transitioning into a different stage in life and it’s weird! I was really sentimental about senior year at the beginning then once school started up I was too busy to be nervous. Now engagements have me thinking about the future all over again!
day 282: do you get scared around Halloween?
ea - everyone was gone for fall break and I spent way too much time at night thinking up bad things that could happen like in scary movies. And come to find out someone may have tried to break in! A screen is broken, like bent by something metal broken. Needless to say now I am thinking up paranormal activity level scary stuff!
ab- That’s really scary! I usually don’t get too scared around Halloween but I don’t really see/hear any scary things so idk. I am not really scared of horror movies but I think thrillers that can actually happen are really scary! But in a good way! :)
mlp - Erin, I’m glad you’re okay! It’s not that Halloween makes me scared, but other things are starting to scare me more lately… I live next to an entrance/exit door that is very loud and sometimes it scares me when people open it late at night (yes, I can hear it in my apartment and it wakes me up)… but Halloween doesn’t exactly scare me because I avoid horror movies like the plague. Halloween used to be my favorite holiday because it meant fall, but we didn’t really have a fall in StL this year, it’s been so cold!
day 281: what are you doing to get in the fall mood?
ea - Corn Maze and pumpkin patch next weekend! Gonna also try and find a pumpkin beer!
ab- mmm! Pumpkin beer actually sounds good! I drank apple cider the other day and it was soooo gooood! I love pumpkin flavored stuff too! What I need to make it truly fall: caramel apple, pumpkin bread, pumpkin chocolate cake, candy, candy, candy, etc.
day 280: think back to this week 4 years ago
ea - I have issues. I think this is a super great question. Mainly because I have been thinking about it all day. This past weekend would have been senior Teresian! DRAMMMMAA and then the past two day Golf State! Oh to be in high school!
ab- Was senior Teresian dramatic? I should really remember this better! haha. Is this when I forced you to go Erin when you had kidney stones??
cc - I was not a real person 4 years ago…. I mean, I was haha but I am so much better/more mature/ sure of myself. Like, I let someone else take the guy I liked to Teresian (she actually asked me if it was okay) and instead of standing up for myself and what I wanted, I didn’t want to be “mean” so I said sure. That’s like, kind of not even relevant to my life anymore, and everything that happens I believe is for a reason. But like, I would NOT be at Marquette or as happy as I am today if things had been different in high school, I think. Wow, that was such a tangent but reminiscing makes me think big like that.

day 277: What are you guys doing for Fall Break?
ab- I am going home to see my sister off to Teresian (tear), and then going to St. Louis to see my grandma and then off to Milwaukee to see Carcar and DanDan.:)
ea - Working at my internship!
cc - driving a couple crazy sisters to st. louis then hanging out in Columbia with a couple crazy people and then hanging out with my crazy family at home :) I’m excited, I’ve already requested meals from my parents!
day 278: What is your favorite Disney movie?
ab- My favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast! When I was little I would carry around a blue book like Belle and sing all of the songs to my parents. Best movie ever! :)
ea - When I was little my favorite was 101 Dalmations! I enjoyed Tangled last night though!
cc - The Lion King. You guys, it’s not just my favorite Disney movie, it’s probably my favorite MOVIE.
day 276: What character on a show is your favorite right now?
ab- Hmmmm. I love Barney on HIMYM. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE Marshall on HIMYM. So probably Marshall. #futurehusband
ea - I love Marshall too! But hmm one of my favorite characters that always make me laugh is Sheldon from Big Bang Theory!!
cc - All the girls from Girls. Or Mac from The Newsroom. Or anybody from the Newsroom.
mlp - SHELDON!!! I love Sheldon! I’ve been watching recently and I adore him!

day 273: What is a food that you refuse to eat/can't make yourself like?
ab - I don’t refuse to eat it.. but I am not a huge fan of chocolate chip cookies. If I have to be polite and eat them I will but they are yucky. Especially when they are hot out of the oven. It’s like choking on chocolate! YUCKY!
ea - I have no idea! I guess vanilla ice cream…
cc - there’s hardly anything i won’t eat. i like to be adventurous with food! i think maybe i would draw the line at bugs.
mlp - Onionnnns. Fortunately, according to my allergy panel, I’m slightly allergic anyway.
day 274: What do you like about the city you currently live in?
ab- Sometimes I love Omaha and sometimes I want to run screaming. The river is pretty. The weather is all over the place but keeps you on your toes. The people here are the nicest I have ever met in my whole life. The zoo is nice but I never go. It makes me smile that past a certain point in Omaha everyone refers to it as “out west.” E.g. “Oh that’s pretty far away! It’s all the way out west!” The Old Market is funnish. Overall, it was a great city for college but I am ready for a new city or the return to my lovely city of Kansas City. (For the record Blue Springs is also a CITY not a town). :P\
ea - It is about the right size. We have seasons! There are beautiful views everywhere! Pretty easy to get around in!
cc - The Brew City and I have a love/hate relationship. I love my school and I love the things the city has to offer, like really fun and different neighborhoods with a lot of things to do and beautiful buildings and exciting things happening all the time and really nice people. But also, I can’t stand really strong Wisconsin accents or winters that last for way too long. I don’t see myself staying here after graduation, but I will enjoy returning to visit in the future :)
mlp - Hahahah I knowwwww that BSMO is a city, I’m sorry I was so ignorant back in sophomore year (6 years ago?). Let’s see, Saint Louis is definitely very different from the suburb I grew up in… I love Forest Park, and I love my friends, and I love my internship, but frankly I’m getting sick of the city now.
